Dancing in Rio
Dancing in Rio from WMS
Every now and then, a new slot game comes along that tries its very hardest to give us the full Rio Carnival experience. The latest entry in that small but entertaining range comes in the form of Dancing in Rio by WMS, which sees one of our favourite developers bringing a land based favourite to online and mobile screens for the first time. With five reels and forty win lines, it is the kind of game that fans of the developer will immediately be able to sink their teeth into and the presence of some great features should ensure that we’re onto a winner.
Symbols to Watch
Most symbols are good to land when it comes to slots gaming, but some are better than others on Dancing in Rio even before we move on to the scatter. The star of the show is clearly the dancing lady as she has been designed to cover four symbol positions at once. She doesn’t have anything special attached to her aside from being the most valuable symbol on the game, but that’s good enough for us when full stacks can land on any reel. Potentially, she could fill the board and players will pick up forty wins through her presence and you can’t say fairer than that. There’s also a Dancing in Rio logo scatter on the board and while it only comes along in singles, it seems to have a knack of being in the right place at the right time.
Dancing in Rio Free Games
The aforementioned scatter is the key to landing free spins and three, four or five in view on a spin will award ten, twenty of fifty spins as standard. The fun certainly doesn’t stop there, however, as you’ll notice that some scatters have a number attached to them. While some are blank, others can display two, five, ten or even twenty. This comes into play whenever the relevant scatters trigger the bonus round, as that number equates to the number of spins that will be added on to your total. When you might already have fifty spins as your baseline, adding even more can be truly impressive, and the fun doesn’t stop there!
Fixed and Progressive Prizes
Jackpot WMS slots are somewhat few and far between but Dancing in Rio fills the void for many players by adding in both fixed and progressive prizes. You’ll notice that each one has a set of bars with it, and these colours represent the reels on the board. Specifically, the reels themselves can change colour at any time and you’ll need them in a configuration that matches the corresponding jackpot in order to win it. That’s all there is to it, although it is worth keeping in mind that the top progressive prize can only be won by players that adhere to a minimum stake.
Dancing in Rio probably won’t ever go on to become a gaming classic but it is a truly welcome addition to the existing WMS range thanks to bright colours, great prizes and classic gameplay. It is worth a closer look by any WMS fan and you can do exactly that by playing for free here on the page or for real at one of our top WMS partner brands.
