Pharaoh’s Tomb by Novomatic
No sooner were we taking a look at what we thought was the only truly original Egyptian themed slot game from Novomatic in Pharaoh’s Ring than along comes its companion title, Pharaoh’s Tomb. As noted in that game’s review, you could put Book of Ra into this category but it’s certainly a little different to the traditional model and we’ve now got two pure Egyptian themed slot games to keep us entertained! This one is lots of fun in its own right and while it comes a close second in terms of looks, there is definitely plenty going on by way of gameplay to keep things ticking over nicely, so let’s get straight into it!
As with Pharaoh’s Ring, Pharaoh’s Tomb benefits from offering multiple win lines. This has two effects as not only do the wins keep on coming regularly, but it also makes for plenty of opportunities to enter the gamble feature if that’s your kind of thing. There, as always, you can stake any base game win on the turn of a card in the hope of doubling its value. This only doesn’t occur if you’re using the auto play facility, as the game will assume you just want to collect and keep on spinning.
Pharaoh’s Tomb Free Spins
The wild card, represented by the Pharaoh’s mask, is the wild card and the first added extra you’re likely to come across on the board. It’s a great symbol to find for sure, but pales in comparison to the Pharaoh’s Tomb scatter. Three or more of these symbols in view at the same time will trigger the game’s bonus round, which essentially offers up twelve free games with some added extras. The first job on free spins is to land a wild card, as this will cause the sarcophagus to open, adding more high value symbols to the board. Corresponding low value symbols will also be removed as part of this process for a particularly valuable game board. You can repeat the trick too every time a wild card lands, making for a particularly high quality set of symbols by the later spins. Speaking of which, you can also add more spins to your remaining total by landing more scatter symbols, with further batches of four available as part of this process.
Pharaoh’s Tomb may share a theme with Pharaoh’s Ring but it is sufficiently different to stand out in its own right. There’s no Extra Bet here either, so if you’re concerned with making your bets go as far as possible, this may well be the best choice. The great news is that both games are live now and ready to play at all of our most highly recommended Novomatic casinos, which can be found listed at the top of this review.
