Rainbow Riches – Leapin’ Leprechauns

Rainbow Riches is one of the most famous brands in all of gaming and a true core part of everything that Barcrest is about. They have released numerous sequels to the game over the years, and every time we look at one we acknowledge that there has been much more than just slots action on offer featuring everyone’s favourite leprechaun. Rather than just saying it, however, we can demonstrate it too and there is no better way to do just that than by introducing our readers to Rainbow Riches – Leapin’ Leprechaun!

Indeed, this game isn’t really a slot at all, even if it does boast a familiar character and an even more familiar name. Instead, it feels much more like a casino platform game – something that might have appeared if Microgaming made Mario or something like that. Essentially, players are tasked with jumping from platform to platform, picking up power-ups and bonuses as they go while also looking to avoid objects that can bring the game to a premature end.

It kicks off with the leprechaun, as you’d expect, and you are essentially buying jumps when you place a stake on the game. Each staked game is good for five jumps and you can either carry out these jumps manually – don’t worry, timing doesn’t matter – or make use of the standard autoplay function that is commonly seen on slots. The platforms that you reach may contain a boost, a prize, an object that ends the game or nothing at all. Among the boosts are the heart, which will make objects not affect you for two jumps, horseshoes that do the same over the course of three jumps, a magic hat that can squash an obstacle or a balloon that will rise into the air to find an instant cash prize.

The prize symbols are rainbows, coins, four leaf clovers and pots of gold, and they can each award between half and a hundred times the value of your current bet. The obstacles are the black cat, 13, snake and mirror and if you do not have an active boost that can work its way around them, they will cause your current go on the game to come to an end.

You’ll probably find this game in the ‘miscellaneous’ category at your favourite casinos, but we are called Games Mania and not Slots Mania after all – plus the fact that the Rainbow Riches brand is far too important to be ignored! See what you think of this unique title above, or head on over to a recommended Barcrest casino in order to get playing for real!
