The Invisible Man
The Invisible Man NetEnt Video Slot
We won’t beat around the bush when it comes to The Invisible Man from NetEnt – the game is so good that it is almost as fun to review as it is to play! It ranks comfortably among our favourites not just from the developer but of all the games that we feature here on the site and if we ever put together a list of must play titles at Games Mania, this one would be on it! It makes its mark quickly based on the atmosphere on the game. NetEnt is the master of doing this and given that most of the “horror” elements of the movie relied on tension rather than straight scares, it is the perfect setting for a game that is absolutely exuding quality.
The symbols are made up of various characters that will be familiar to anyone that knows the story and even if you don’t rank among that number, you’ll still find them to be valuable and great looking. As with most branded games, betting itself is a breeze with twenty fixed lines but that’s where the simplicity ends and the fun begins!
Walking Wild Cards
There are two wild cards on The Invisible Man, depicted by the policeman and the title character. They’ll both fill in for any other symbol and are particularly good value given the lack of a scatter, meaning that they can literally cover for every other symbol in the game. Their potential doesn’t end there either as landing the policeman on the first reel or The Invisible Man on the fifth will see free respins awarded, with the wild cards making their way along the board by one position on each spin. When they make their way to the other side of the board and disappear, the respins end and its back to the main game.
Free Spins from those Walking Wilds
One thing that we haven’t explained yet is what happens when The Invisible Man and the policeman bump into each other when out for their respective walks. When they come together, ten free spins are awarded and more wilds are added to the board. Another clash between the two characters will add a further four free spins to the total, and the action doesn’t end there thanks to the meters on the screen.
Both the policeman and The Invisible Man have their own meter, which is filled up whenever one of their wild cards drops off the screen. If you fill one during free spins then you’ll be treated to a further bonus afterwards. For the policeman, you’ll receive free spins, a set of three free games with five wilds added to the board on each. The Invisible Man’s meter will award Griffin’s Rage where he visits three different locations to pick one of five items for cash or multipliers. Unlike the police spins, this round can come to an early end if the policeman’s hat is discovered as one of the picks.
This is one online slot game where the theme is used to absolute perfection. We’ve never played another game quite like it and you won’t have either so be sure to check out all the action for free right here at Games Mania or, more specifically, at the top of this very review!
