Wild West by Mazooma
We generally feel like we have the Mazooma style all figured out, with games like Cops and Robbers and Spinderella being top quality titles that share a few things in common. However, we can completely appreciate that any developer is more than capable of throwing out a few curve balls and that is precisely what Mazooma has done here on Wild West, a game that is unlike anything else in the range.
Four Boards of Great Gaming
You will be able to see exactly what we mean by this as soon as the game loads, as there can be no disguising the fact that this particular slot game makes use of four different sets of reels, all on the main screen. Technically, this could be considered as the biggest Mazooma slot of all as while we are used to twenty win lines almost exclusively, this one features ten lines on each, which all work independently from each other. Any wins on the four sets are combined and paid out as a total, but where players will really get the full benefit of this game is through the wild cards. When a wild appears on the main set of reels, it will be copied to the same position on every other reel set. It is just a shame that while wilds have every chance of appearing on the smaller boards, they will only affect the board that they appear on and not transfer anywhere.
There is a base game bonus on Wild West and there are plenty of chances to see it as it can randomly occur following any winning spin. A gun will appear on the screen and shoot at one or more of the boards, applying a multiplier of between two and ten times to any wins in the process, but only on boards that have been shot.
While there are no further features on the standard version of Wild West, making for a pretty simple game overall, players can still get their hands on some extra action thanks to the Hi-Roller option that is introduced on this game. By placing five times the stake for the silver level or ten times for gold, players will be treated to three spins across all four boards. What you get in return is the fact that all wilds that land will be locked in place until the end of those three spins, with gold players also having more wilds added to the board as standard. Technically, these features noticeably increase the return to player percentage, although your luck will still need to be in to make full use of the benefits over the course of just three games.
Wild West is almost unquestionably the most unique game in the Mazooma range and may not even be what players are expecting from it in general. However, it is a lot of fun to play and we have no problem at all with indulging in something that is different to the norm. You can join us in doing so without even leaving this page as the full game is live and ready to play with no deposit at the top of this review. If you find yourself enjoying Wild West as much as we do, you’ll then want to move on to real money action and there are no better places to find just that than at our recommended Mazooma partner casinos for players in the UK.
